Private Voice Lessons for New Singers, Returning Singers, & Performers Wanting to Tap into Their Inner Singer

hi there! I’m Mia (she/her) :)

I’ve been formally training as a singer since I was eight years old, but my love for singing has been lifelong. I’ve studied classical, choral, pop/rock, country, and [most extensively] musical theater style singing. I believe that anyone can learn to sing when given a nurturing educational environment and a reassuring guide as they discover their unique voice. That’s where I hope to come in!

In my own training, I’ve had some incredibly positive experiences with voice teachers and I’ve had some… less than positive experiences. I’ve learned firsthand how daunting voice lessons can be and how negative singing experiences can impact our practices for years to come. I focus on a warm, open, student-centered approach to help wrangle the fear spiked by the vulnerability that accompanies singing. Outside of managing this fear, these same student-centered principles are able to help each person unleash their inner singer.

And of course we’ll also work on breath support, vocal placement, full body singing, rhythm, diction & vowel shaping, inner ear development, music theory, showmanship, artistry, and all that other good stuff! But learning to claim the act of singing for yourself is the foundation that I’d love to help you build.

In accordance with my belief that everybody should be able to sing, I’m dedicated to providing accessible pricing. Custom rates may be determined if the rates listed above pose a significant financial barrier.
